La Plaza (The Field) was baptized with this name because in the highest and flat area of the farm, there is a soccer field that is known in our country as “Plaza de futbol”.
La Plaza is located in Santa Rosa de León Cortés, at 1890 to 2050 m.a.s.l. It has several varieties as Catuaí, Caturra and Villa Sarchí. All of them well separated and well-treated in order to obtain our golden bean.
After two years of starting the business, we had the opportunity to acquire this property that is located very close to our Micro Mill, which meant a lot of advantages. This is why we decided to take the risk and bought it. As a result we´ve had very good acceptance by our customers in the first cuppings. Since the first harvest we got from this estate, our customers have been pleased with the results obtained. This is our second consecutive year participating in CoE. We have reached the international cuppings and now we are proud that our coffee is positioned year after year in this important contest. This motivates us to improve in the milling process.
