History
I am a 44 years old coffee grower. I started in the coffee business when I was 16 years old. I was originally a worker in the farm, and after several years I bought the farm. All my life I have been dedicated to the coffee. My family has 7 members, I, my wife and 5 children.
Environmental Care
I dont cut the native forest of the farm. The farm doesnt have natural sources of fresh water, but with the members of the community and the neighbors, we are united to take care of the few water sources that there is in the region. We dont allow the hunting in the area either. We use all the wastes of the farm to produce organic fertilizers. All the plastic and glass materials that can not be recycled, it is deposited in a special grave.
Coffee Processing Information
We pick by hand only the red beans, which are depulped the same day of the harvest. The fermentation takes place during the night and the next day after the picking, the coffee is washed several times and finally is dried in the parabolic driers we built with the support of the Federation.
