This estate was inherited by my grandfather Leoncio, in honor to him, I call my estate with his name. It is located in Lourdes of Naranjo and it has more than 80 years to be ours, it has been inherited generation by generation.
My family is wonderful, we are 5, my wife, my three daughters and I, all of us are very involved in this activity because we depend on it. This activity allows us to cover all necessary expenses, such as food, education and others.
The variety of Leoncio estate is Villa Sarchí and Kenia CL28. And our coffee is picked by Panamanian natives, who are specialists in picking 100% ripe coffee.
CAFETALERA HERBAZÚ was founded in 2000 – 2001, as pioneering in the Coffee Processing in Costa Rica , it is composed by four brothers, who process their coffee and the coffee of 4 more brothers.
Our great strength, is that we process the coffee of our estates, and for that reason we can control the whole coffee process, from the planting to the milling. And this is how we take care of the 100% quality coffee.
Last year Leoncio won the first award of Cup of Excellence.
