Mutumba coffee washing station is located in Busiga commune, Ngozi Province in the North of Burundi . Mutumba is in the valley at 1500 m of altitude. The coffee farmers have 500 coffee trees on average.
The process is wet process, fully washed, parchment sun dried on bed.
The Variety of this coffee is Bourbón.
Harvested in April 2015.
Other Information: IWCA Burundi members and neighbors Farmers are working with Sogestal Kayanza and pulped their cherries at 7 coffee washing stations owned by Sogestal Kayanza.
They got a bonus on the coffee sold under IWCA Burundi brand since 2013 crop. Twenty one women got two goats BFI's gift in 2013 to increase fertilizer for coffee trees. They gave babies goat to others in 2014.
This crop 2015, 15 members (7 women/15) sold their cherries at Mutumba coffee washing station and this lot won cup of Excellence.
