The origin of the name of the farm, La Granadilla (pomegranate), is because years ago before it was planted with coffee trees, it had trees of this particular fruit.
The farm is located 25 kilometers of Santa María de Dota at 1760 m.a.s.l.
When I was a child my father used to send me to scare squirrels and birds that ate the fruit. I ran from one site to another without stopping, so that animals get scared and leave, but I could never avoid it altogether.
When I won Cup of Excellence in 2011, I felt a great emotion and satisfaction because all the work done by my family day after day was reflected in that moment: my passion for coffee was recognized in a national and international award.
I really never thought I could win, but my faith was never lost. This is my family, my farm and my work of many years!
