Finca Guachipilin
We cultivated the first part of the new farm of coffee on 2009. I was working from 6 am to 5 pm in neighbor farms and on Saturday and Sundays in my own farm working like that for 3 years and started to harvest my own coffee.
At the beginning of the harvest we moved the cherry coffee for long distances to remove the pulp in a friend´s machine and then we carried the coffee in the shoulders to dry it on beds in my farm. In 2013 I bought a despulping machine to prepare my coffee. I do hand work because there is no electricity in the mountain. We do the coffee harvest with my wife, my sons and brothers. The dry coffee is moved by horse for long distances to be commercialized.
My dream is to improve the conditions of my farm to produce more and be able to help other families so they and I can be able to have some food.
