This farm was inherited in 1980. The farm is named, La Granadilla (pomegranate), because years ago the farm had trees of this particular fruit before it became a coffee plantation. With this farm, the Calderón Castillo Family began the coffee production. All the members of the family are in charge of different tasks related to the mill and the farm management. When they won Cup of Excellence in 2011, they felt a great emotion and satisfaction because all the work done by the family day after day was reflected in that moment: their passion to coffee was recognized in a national and international award. Even when they never thought they could win, the hope was never lost. It was their family, their farm, and years of their work!
