With experience and love for the coffee that is only gain by having four generations in the coffee business, in 2009 we founded the Micro-Mill Altos del Abejonal located in San Pablo de León Cortés, Tarrazú. This farm is set between 1830 and 1915 m.a.s.l.
Feeling proud of our highland coffee, our work is environmental friendly, both in the farm and the milling process. Our coffee is 100% sun dried on African beds and by choosing carefully the beans we give an added value to our coffee, on which achieving an award such as Cup of Excellence reflects the effort of our family.
The name of the farm Diviño Niño is out of gratitude to God for saving the life of our son Mauricio who was very ill when he was born. He is now 14 years old and loves coffee; he is a certified barista by the Specialty Coffee Association of Costa Rica and ICAFE
Our town is a very friendly and picturesque place, and has its own rime:
In Santa María de Dota they keep,
In San Marcos of Tarrazu they invest,
And in San Pablo de Leon Cortés they have fun.
