On weekends, the children also work in the whole process. Florencia stayed in the Yungas region in spite of the fact that her whole family – her parents and three brothers – returned to their native Oruro. She made the decision to stay with her husband because she believes that coffee is a secure product. ”Coffee sustains my household. I want to continue improving, in order to have more economic resources. I don’t want to be left behind. I want to continue to improve my coffee. I’m going to get to first place.” Florencia wants to share her earnings from the international auction of her sample. “I’m going to improve my coffee crop, improve my house and help my family, the colony and my organization.”
