History of your farm: I have a 70 and I have 40 years of owning this property that has been the achievement of much effort and sacrifice over many years, which was cut short by the war came from the 80 that have had to abandon been close to armed clashes during that time there were, for these reasons I am absent for 11 years letting everything. But I always come back with a hope to start work in the year 1992 which was very hard for me. My property has 50 apples, 25 MNZ coffee varieties predominate: caturra, Bourbón, yellow catuai and Maragogype. The production last year was 270 quintal gold this year is estimated about 500 qq. Also there are 2 bananas and 1 block of tomatoes and other vegetables, the rest of the property is 22 MNZ of grass suitable for growing coffee. Generations Family: My family is integrated by 5 persons, my wife and my 3 sons, they help me in the work of the farm. I started to work at the age of 13 years with my father who also was dedicated to the cultivation of coffee; he showed me to my work the land.

How do you feel to be a winner?
I am grateful to God, as well as those who worked my coffee on taking the proper care and treatment for drying and threshing and keep the original quality of grain as are workers in the yards and the trail of the company CISA Exportadora, S.A.
What do you think of the Cup of Excellence?
I think its a big event for us coffee producers to improve every day to keep a quality of coffee. Cup of Excellence motivates us a lot; in addition to providing this great opportunity in the quality I personally am very grateful.
