Finca Tlayahualapan 1 named for its proximity to the town of the same name belonging to the Municipality of Xico in the central region of Veracruz, is in the area called Coatepec Coffee Basin.
Farm Tlayahualapan 1 is part of the company “Antigua Cafetera” both recently created, is located in the city of Coatepec, Veracruz. The vision of its owner Mr. Joaquín Rodríguez F. is to provide the final consumer with a product of the highest quality, positioning our products among the best coffees that have given prestige and renown to the coffees of Coatepec, privileging the quality of the product, as well as looking for the profitability of the farms through high productivity, generating sources of employment for their collaborators.
The Farm has a diversity of threes for shade: 16 timber species, 4 shrubs, 6 fruit trees (3 varieties of bananas, macadamia, orange, guava and nispero; among the upper canopy species include Chalahuite, liquidambar, Ixpepel, maramgola, red oak, oak, ergot, jonote, guarumbo.
In this sense Finca Tlayahualapan is a source of permanent employment for more than 80 families. The farm works with the commitment to maintain a quality standard, a good working relationship, developing a Program of Good Farming Practices, as well as preserving the environment and natural resources.
Antigua Cafetera works hard to boost its Coffe Makers brand, and to place it in the public's taste, as well as in the specialty market, so we take care of every detail of the process from the production of the plants in our nurseries, with selective coffee cuts cherry, going through the wet processing, dry profit, until our final product.
