Gisuma coffee washing station is a company which is composed of coffee growers and farmers who initiated this business (135 members).
The idea come after that, they had noticed that in their sector (Gisuma) there was no processing facilities and their coffee cherries had been purchased to be processed in other areas other than Gisuma sector.
In 2009 they started the coffee washing station with only 135 members at that time, but till now it accounts for 193 members with around 40,000 coffee trees that supply around 85% of the total cherries processed at the coffee washing station.
