The property was acquired in 1994 with the purchase of 62 hectares which, until then, had been used for raising cattle. In 1998 the first coffee plot, measuring 8 hectares, was planted. Today the farm totals 123 hectares, 30 of which are coffee, and has an average annual production of 1000 bags. The remaining areas comprise pristine forests, pastures and lakes and springs with protected waters. Starting with the 2016 harvest, very fine coffee lots with striking profiles and intense sweetness were identified. These main characteristics presented interesting flavor complexities from the interaction of the cultivars with the “terroir” of this small micro-region known as Serra das Abelhas (Bee Mountain Range).
Varieties planted: Yellow Catuaí, Acaiá, Yellow Catucaí, Red Catuaí, Mundo Novo
