The Finca was founded by my grandparent and my father in 1956. Since 1960 my father was fully in charge. In 1968 we made the first coffee export to Japan and we have more than 2 clients from this country. My father died in 2000 and Enrique López Aguilar, brother of Susana López begun to manage the Finca. The Finca obtained several prizes, always on the first three positions.
Nowadays we have several certificates that involve many aspects: organic, socially responsible, fair trade, climate change, bird friendly, etc. the certificates we have are IMO JAS, IMO EU, IMO Bird Friendly, IMO Fair for Life, IMO USDA, Rainforest Alliance, Rainforest Clima, Naturland.
A great happiness for obtaining the result of a whole year work and for knowing that with our process we are contributing to innovate in the coffee processing. Is very rewarding to get to know that modifying specific variables and by identifying those processes that are good, affects the cup profile for good results
These activities are giving me more desires to keep producing coffees and to know that this knowledge inherited from my grandparents represents the thing that I love and enjoy the most and this represent not only a job. For me is a game that gives me a lot of satisfaction for my life.
