Overview:
I was born in Consaca located in the department of Narino on July 10th of 1963, son of a traditional coffee family. I live in the farm La Concordia located in the path El Tejar of the municipality of Consaca, which I inherited from my father. I did my elementary and secondary studies in the schools of my town.
My family is composed by my wife Lucia Rubiela Diaz and my two daughters Diana Mayarli and Maria Jose. I have been managing the farm 10 years ago after my fathers death and since then I have worked hard with my family. Thanks to the support provided by the coffee institutionalism, 4 years ago I belong to the specialty coffees program, where I have received the necessary training to bring up my farm, to contribute with the environment conservation and to improve the coffees quality. Also, since two years ago, my farm is certified under the rule of the Sustainable Agriculture Network.
My biggest wishes are to continue growing good quality coffee, conserving and preserving the environment and in that way improve my incomes and the quality of my family and employees life. My desire is to bring up my daughters, that they could be great professionals, inculcate them the love for countryside so that they continue with the family legacy: cultivate good quality coffee.
