Lot #26 Parritilla
Producer: Jorge Mario Araya Mora
Parritilla Farm has about 15 years of belonging to Araya Mora Family. It was obtained through a change for another farm that already was planted with coffee.
At the beginning it was an arduous task to keep the farm standing. The location complicated even more the access of the farm that is located 27 kilometers from the residence place in poor roads and paddocks.
This property over the years has been divided into several plots between the Araya brothers in order to give a better management. This farm has represented a family support, the economic income for the education of the children.
The family has been a pillar of support throughout the years during the process of maintaining and harvesting the coffee.
As a family project, three years ago we began to process and mill our own coffee in order to ensure better quality.
The collection of the cherries is done by immigrants from neighboring countries like Nicaragua , serving as a source of employment for these people.
It is our first time participating in Cup of Excellence, and we are pleased with the results obtained. This is a motivation to overcome and continue to grow in the coffee business.
The farm is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. The altitude favors us in terms of production, quality and profitability of the property
