Mr. Leon Victor Arrieta and his family own this property, inherited by his father. His family has always been linked to the coffee agriculture. Farm work is performed by Don Victor Leon, his wife and two sons. During the coffee harvest, they along with some other workers who come to work at the farm of Mr. Carlos Barrantes- do the picking, always trying as far as possible to do it the best way to take care of the quality they want to provide to their customers.
During this year the coffee was processed in Micro-mill La Perla del Café, worked and supervised by Mr. Carlos Barrantes, who gave them assistance and explained in more detail how to work a specialty coffee.
The farm is named after the mountain, because it is located on a hill of Lourdes de Naranjo, near the protective zone El Chayote where the aquifers that supply water to the area are situated.
This year the Barrantes Molina Family of La Perla del Café micro mill motivated them to process their coffee and participate in the Cup of Excellence. For this reason, they proposed to give their best and they succeeded.
