The farm La Barrigona, which is located in the Municipality of Eloxochitlán de Flores Magón, in the Sierra Mazateca, at the north of the State of Oaxaca. La Barrigona is in an altitude of 1,600 to 1,800 meters above sea level. The cultivated variety is Typica and the type of process is washed. We are certified organic under the NOP (USDA) and LOP (Organic Products Law or Ley de Productos Orgánicos, law in México).

We belong to an organization of small coffee producers, which, through the practice of sustainable agriculture and the development of productive, economic and social projects, we seek to contribute so that our communities in general have better living conditions,

Climate change is one of the main threats for sustainable development. In our association we assume the GREAT COMMITMENT to take responsibility with our natural resources, making friendly practices with biodiversity that our own organization through training have taught us to give an organic management to our coffee plantations, as well as non-contamination, using techniques such as honey-water filtration pits, barriers, live and / or dead to prevent soil erosion, organic fertilizers, sulfocalcium and bordelés broths for the prevention of pests and diseases.

The farm has been worked for several generations, same that has belonged to the Bautista Guerrero Family. The size of the farm is of 3 hectares. The family that works in the process from the harvest to the transformation in parchment are: Guillermo Bautista, (head of Family ), Juana Guerrero, Brígida Bautista, Jaime Bautista, Virginio Cerqueda, Flavio Cerqueda.

Our mother tongue is Mazatec, the living conditions are extreme, since our municipality is classified as very high marginalization. The size of the lot that competed in the Cup of Excellence 2018 was 600 kg parchement.
