On November 30th, 1951, the finca was bought by Mr. Nicéforo Valdivia who inherited her daughter María del Rosario Irais on 1978. She has worked on the finca since then and there have been some renewals. She also acquired 3 more hectares in 1986. Since 2010 she begun with the idea of producing Specialty coffees. On 2012 she participated in Cup of Excellence winning the 6th place. The finca is in a privileged area in the highest coffee zone of Cosautlan de Carvajal, on the edge of a gully and the special weather is the envy of many other producers from the region. Each year she learns more, and learns also by participating in quality contests, she implements new techniques every year for improving. She hasn’t been able to sell the coffee into a fair price in Mexico ; she has the hope of finding a good client from other country that pays better her coffee.
This finca has belonged to the family for years, winning means a lot to us. We are happy to promote with quality our town Cosautlan de Carvajal and let the world know that there is a good quality coffee growing area in Mexico .
