Overview:

Mr. Juanito Paredes was born on January 20th in 1972 in Narino department, in Samaniego municipality, he is 38 years old, married Mireya Chamorro. They have 3 children; his land was a heritage from his parents and the first motivation to continue working in the coffee crop. He believes that the coffee is giving him and his family the support to live and particularly the tool for his children to get an education. “El Arenal” farm is 12 kilometers away of the municipality of Samaniego, it surrounded by a spring which is protected by native species from the area. The coffee grower has environment judgment and believes, he takes care and protects the water, earth, flora and fauna. He uses organic fertilizer made at the farm composting the residues from the coffee process, planting trees for shade, and handle plants to prevent erosion specialty close to the spring. For the wet milling process he uses a traditional facility and fosse for the decomposition of pulp, the drying process is under sun.
