Maraba I Cyarumbo CWS was built in 2001 and started to be operational in 2002. Like other Maraba CWS, it is owned by ABAHUZAMUGAMBI BA KAWA cooperative for coffee farmers in Huye District.
Coffee farmers who are supplying cherries into Maraba I Cyarumbo CWS are located into two sectors namely Simbi and Maraba sectors. They are located into 3 different zones : Simbi zone with 171members, 166 Cyendajuru in Simbi sector and Cyarumbo zone with 188 members in Maraba sector.
