Roger Dominguez and his wife, Carmen Fiallos, have been dedicating their lives to the production of coffee, at Márcala, La Paz. The name of their coffee farm is “Finca Las Flores”, and it is located at 1512 masl. They grow Catuai variety, and have participated in COE before, making it to the auction. They have different types of trees (musaceas, guachipilin, pepeto, and orange) planted to provide shade to the coffee plants.
Finca Las Flores works hard on each process, using very strict standards of quality, harvesting only the ripest cherries. Their goal is to improve their milling process and to become specialty coffee exporters. Their drying process is under the sun, using screens. Constantly, they check the coffee quality by taking samples to the IHCAFE lab. They are part of the Origin Denomination project, that has been supported by IHCAFE.
