FARM BEGINNING
GRUPO RENIBA S.A. DE C.V. is made up of several companies within the Agroindustrial branch, one of them is FINCA PEÑA BLANCA. It is located in Ejido Ayotitlan, San Miguel Community, Biosphere Reserve, Sierra de Manantlan, main head of Cuautitlán de García Barragán, in the state of Jalisco. It is embedded between a Mountain Canyon, with a Conifera Mountainous topography ending all of them in the Peña Blanca Farm, at an average height of 1600 masl, with a land and special climate for growing coffee.
The first time I came to these places, in the month of January 2009, I refer to Telcruz, Chancol and Ayotitlan, I saw that there is a high social and economic marginalization. It was until February 5, 2009, that I found the ideal place to develop this project. The San Miguel Community, which is made up of approximately 80-100 people, who do not live off their land, going out to get work elsewhere, staying all week and at the end of the week, they arrive with nothing, because they spent it on their stay, and for the return truck.
All this is an example of all the needs that have always been in this Community and in all of them, throughout our Country, which above all, motivates me to undertake this Project from Zero, with the support of valuable people who want to get ahead. and as it is said, "Put on your T-shirt" and thus make a Sustainable Company, Producer and Exporter of Gold-washed Coffee, where you will be granted a better quality of life for each of the families.
Finca Peña Blanca consists mainly of 25has. Which will be divided into two stages:
Industrial Development: It will have, the Technology of Point, to give all the Traceability, Added Value and Sustainability, of all the Processes, as much of our Coffee, as of the Byproducts (Cascara or Pulp), and the Recycling of all our water used.
Field Development: The population that is intended to be planted in the Finca per ha. It is of 8800-10000 coffee plants, of the Sarchimor, Marseillaise, Caturra and Geisha varieties, with Irrigation System and the Sun Plantations. Generating, at the same time, between 20 and 30 direct sources of employment and between 150 and 200 sources of temporary work.
This farm will be looking to have the following Certifications:
- UTZ CERTIFIED-EUREP GAP
- COMERCIO JUSTO (FAIR TRADE)
- RAIN FOREST ALLIANCE
- SOHISCERT (EUROPA)
Which will allow us to be competing with the needs demanded by the Asian and European Markets.
Peña Blanca Farm will also be working, together with the Ejidal Commissariat of the area, to develop work agreements with ejidatarios per year.
This consists of developing an Integral System of Works, carried out in a very specific way for each group or producer, which each one will have on the part of the Farm the following:
- Support for 1ha per Ejidatario
- Stroke and Projection of the land for the Sist. of Irrigation (land with water)
- Planting your coffee garden
- Support of all the Inputs and Advisory required during the first year
- Training of personnel of the Community to be self-sufficient in the work required by the farm or their own farms.
- Purchase and Sale Contract with each Producer for 10-15 years, which they are sure is a serious long-term project.
- Pay fair prices for your product and for your work.
This is about giving each family the guarantee of having their own patrimony and totally changing their socioeconomic status, being they owners or partners of their properties and having the opportunity to grow if necessary.
It is completely changing the way of seeing life, it is a change of attitude, to see in the everyday a totally different progress, with the conviction to be able to do things today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today. Being a permanent effort to apply new Techniques and Different Methods.
