The farm was inherited by my father Adan Altamirano Domínguez but investigating I discovered that it has remained in the family since 1850 acquired by José Estanislao Altamirano and has always been in the same Altamirano family so I decided to put Altamirano Dynasty doing a tribute to my ancestors. I also discovered that tobacco and cane were cultivated on their land during the conquest and the first coffee plant was cultivated was in 1879 by Don Leandro Altamirano and until that date we continue with the same culture. We cultivate bananas, oranges, lychee, izote tree, guava, macadamia nut tree, sweet lemon tree, sour lemon tree and other wild fruits for household consumption. The rainy season is from May until September, then the cold starts from Septmber until January, then the heats start until May. The harvest season starts in middle of December and goes until the beginning of May, eventhough it changes a little depending on whether, the heat is advanced. For shade we have chalauite (inga vera), Ilite (Ahus acuminata), Ocozote (Liquidámbar styraciflua), Cucharilla (Clethra mexicana), Lichi, Oak, Ash tree, Guarumbo, Guarumbo (Cecropia obtusifolia), Sangregado (Croton draco), Sangregado (Croton draco) and Jonote (Helioscarpus donnellsmithii). In wet benefit we make washed, honey and natural processes !!! It all depends on the weather. Of varieties we have typica, borbon, caturra, sarchimor, Costa Rica and this new harvest we will have gesha. It is worth mentioning that the Altamirano Dynasty is part of the farm El Estribo, the first place of COE México 2014 producer Adán Altamirano, whom is my father.
