The farm El Equimite was acquired in 2007 with the effort and work of the family. This farm was abandoned land with the extension of 11 hectares and we were given the task of renovating it little by little and year after year. In 2009, one hectare of Pacamara was planted, which years later gave us a first place in the 2017 Cup of Excellence. This is a shade crop and the variety of trees that can be found are: chalahuites (Inga spuria ), equimites (GASPARITO / Erythrina americana), mísperos (Mespilus germanica), oaks, fig trees(ficus aurea), cucharos (Dendropanax arboreus), jinicuil (Inga jinicuil), guavas, quibrache, cedars, cinnamon trees (cinammon verum), among others. In addition, as an alternative crop; the banana. Fertilizer of the property: YaraMila, although we also apply Foliar seaweed fertilizer with minor elements. Rust control: priori Xtra. Weed control with manual weed. The process we carried out for this lot was the washing and this was dried in the sun-greenhouse. We also work other processes such as: natural, honey, and in this harvest we learned to make carbonic maceration in natural and honey for a reputable coffee shop in Mexico City called Blend Station. Between the year when there is no harvest, we give work from 10 to 15 day laborers daily and during the harvest period we look for 40 to 60 collectors depending on the maturation of the crop. We selected a part of the harvest to participate in contests such as: the cup of excellence and caravela coffee contest, of which in 2017 he won first place in both competitions. The mayor part of the harvest was sent processed in green to the different coffee shops that buy our coffee that are distributed in different parts of the country, And the rest of the harvest we process it to sell it ground in a small business that I have in my house, as well as we use a small part for the cafeteria that we call JI-RU, which will soon have a year of foundation in the month of September. The varieties we plant are 10 hectars of Garnica and 1 of Pacamara. The rainy season goes from June to October. The coffee harvest season goes from November to May.
