We are finca Consolopan, a family that has been producing coffee since around 1930. The farm in general has components of the mesophilic mountain forest and foggy forest. The arboreal stratum is diverse with different altitudes up to 25 meters. It works as a recharge for aquifers that feed the consolepan river on the northeast side, on the road from Xalapa to Coatepec by the "Briones" route. It has eight permanent workers and hires up to 30 in times of coffee harvest, employs women and does not allow the work of minors; giving employment to workers in the area. It is important to highlight that despite the process of urbanization of the area, the increase in surplus value and the uncertainty of the coffee market, the family has decided not only to conserve, but to improve the conditions of the farm incorporating a program responsible for good agricultural practices that allow to be productive without impacting the environment involving its workers, advised by technical personnel. To consolidate this objective, the console farm aims to join the group of sustainable farms to continue cultivating the coffee tradition in a framework of sustainability. the farm has a precipitation of 2000 mma. 23°C. Geographic coordenates: 19°28'47.1"N 96°56'33.1" W. In the farm we have mainly Typica, Mundo Novo, Garnica and Marsellesa. We have participated in various competitions: In 2008, we were among the finalists of the coffee harvest quality award competition (Cecilia Camberos Franchini) In 2010, we obtained third place in that same contest (Luz Cecilia Avila Camberos) In 2014, we won first place in the contest organized by Café Imports and Amsa (Luz Cecilia Avila Camberos)
