Finca San Jose has been part of the Fincas Mierisch group for 10 years, having an excellent track record for producing high and special coffee, San Jose is located in the department of Jinotega at a height between 1350-1450 meters above sea level. Family Generations:

* What were the good practices that you implemented and that made it the winner of the Cup of Excellence program?
To have been fortunate to have a soil with many benefits, a team that cares about the quality of the grain in the collection and the human team in the drying process, who devote the necessary time since we are very interested in the subject (15-18 days), melao (18-22 days) and natural (28-30 days), trying to use drying in African beds.
*How does it feel to be one of the winners?
I feel surprised to see the result of all the effort on the part of the team and this encourages us to improve every day in all stages of the coffee value chain.
* In what will you invest the profits you get from the cup of excellence?
In the past we have used them for social purposes and in this occasion we will do so in the same way.
* Had you participated in the Cup of Excellence program before?
If we participated in the year 2012 achieving a winning prize.
*What do you think the cup of excellence?
Thanks to the organization of the Cup of Excellence special coffee is promoted in the world, encouraging producers to improve, to obtain recognition for the good management, dedication and commitment to obtain a quality cup in our coffees, through this Event all the united efforts are recognized to keep the coffee cultivation alive in Nicaragua.
