Juval Antonio is the second generation of coffee growers in his family. His father, originally from Quipile, Cundinamarca used to be coffee picker and traveled around the country doing the picking coffee job. Once working in Huila he meets Juval’s mother and this is how we ends up having a coffee farm in this region. Today Juval is in charge of the farm where he grows Caturra, Colombia and Castillo. This is the second time he submits his coffee to Cup of Excellence, he says that technical support and constant feedback has been crucial for getting good results. One of his aspirations is to keep competing and achieve a better place in future COE competitions. Also, he is planning to grow other varieties in his farm such as Catuai and Pink Bourbon.
He expects that coffee prices are justified by submitting his coffee in different competitions.
