Farm El Bosque is located in the community Bayunca # 1, in the Municipality San Fernando, Nueva Segovia.
Coordinates: 18°, 46´, 13´´ North, 86 ° 19´, 37´´ West.
This property was acquired in 1992.The initially quantity buy were 63 Apples of land, then continued up to the amount of 230 Mz, working with tech, with hard work, focused on the quality handling production.
The total quantities of production are 161.97 Mz. Area Sown Coffee 63 Mz. It has an average production 1,400 QQ at year, of varieties Catuai Red and Yellow.
The Farm has a hight of 1,398 mosl, with a rainfall of 1,500 mm and an average temperature of 18°- 23° C. The type of land is sandy clay loam.
This is the third Family Generation, formed by 5 members, the couple and three children
What is your secret for winning the competition?
Integrated crop handling and good practices in wet and dry mill and a very important factor which is quality control (cupping).
How do you feel to have been a winner?
I feel good and happy, also very grateful whith God, and especially with my staff for their hard work to be among achieve the best quality coffees from Nicaragua .
What do you think about the Cup of Excellence?
That is an excellent way to evaluate and rate the different coffees the country and in the same way to present the best of Nicaragua coffees.
