Overview
Antigua prides itself on having the best coffee in the world. El Pintado Organic Coffee Farm is located in the heart of the richest valley in Antigua, Guatemala . The farm is historic, about 400 years old, form the time when the Spanish arrived in Guatemala in the 1530s. The coffee plants receive only natural fertilizers, pulp and vermiculture which is produced on the farm. The annual production is 131 x 69kg bags.
El Pintado still has the original farm house, now renovated, and coffee continues to be planted and dried the old fashion way. The climate is extraordinary. Spring time all year around, divided by dry and rainy seasons.
Certified Organic by Mayacert, USDA and APCA. Also certified by Rainforest Alliance. Won First Prize in 2012 Rainforest Alliance National Cupping Competition.
