Overview
Finca Cabrejo is located in San Juan Gascon, at kilometer 41 on the road to Antigua Guatemala . On the colonial age Cabrejo belonged to a priest who last name was Cabrejo; so for that reason until now the coffee farm is named like that. Later, on 1880 the grandfather of the current owner, Agustin Hegel Fashen and his wife Maria Duran de Hegel bought the farm. Mr. Hegel Fashen inherited the farm to my father, who worked and used it as a recreational property as well in the years 1950 to 1980. Some years later when current owner father died, they divided the property into four equal parts one for each daughter. Actually the owner and her husband continued planting high quality coffee. They planted different coffee varieties, such as: Bourbón, catuai and caturra, to a highest that stands at 5,200-6300 feet over the sea level. The coffee plantation has beautiful views of the volcanoes.
