Information:
Farm Copo Mico located in San Luis Planes, Santa Barbara, a region dedicated to coffee growing and vegetable crops. A great diversity of plants and animals can be found in this region, since it is a National Park of Mountain reserve. In this location there is a company called Montana Verde that exports coffee directly to Canada. This farm performs different coffee growing management activities such as: weed, pest & shade control, fertilizing, selective and sanitary trimming, manual harvesting and wet milling and drying.
About his family:
Mariano begins growing coffee in 1995 with his father. He lives now with his wife and 3 children.
What is the secret of your success?
To keep in mind the quality of the coffee throughout all its stages, in the farm management, harvesting of the grain and the processing and drying. To do things willingly and to listen to the technical advice given. How do you feel being a winner of the Cup of Excellence Honduras 2010?Proud to give a good image to our coffee, to place Honduras in a high place through an event such as COE.
