Information:
La Granadilla, located in El Cangual, were the main product of the region is coffee with a strong potential for specialty coffees. A very cool zone, nice weather, and close by to an ecological reserve Puca-Opalaca, a very mountainous region. A number of vegetation such as: Pine, Oak, Southern white oak, sweetgum tree, wild berries and fauna such as: Lowland pacas, rabbits, white tail deer, fresh water crabs and a wide variety of birds. In the region there are various associations such as AHPROCAFE, Parent Teachers Association, Protestant and Catholic churches. The coffee beans are harvested when they are ripe by family and part time workers. Omar began growing a very small lot in 1995 and he now has almost 2 hectares. About his family? Omar lives with his wife, his daughter and baby boy. What is the secret of his success? To make an effort and pay special attention to each of the productive stages of coffee, and to take care of the green coffee. How do you feel being a winner of the Cup of Excellence Honduras 2010?Satisfied, although the callenge continues to improve his farm until he wins first place in the COE.
