History
I am a coffee growers with 31 years old. My father bought the farm we are living now 20 years ago. The farm had no crops at that time, then my father, me and 3 more brothers began planting coffee trees. My oldest brothers moved to another town, so, my father, my wife, my two boys and me. I dont belong to any associative group. I consider myself as a young producer but I am very committed with the quality concept because I know that through the quality I can get better incomes.
Environmental Care
As the farm is quite big, we preserve the area with native forest, specially to protect the the natural sources of fresh water we have in the farm. I use all the organic wastes from the house and also from the depulping process, to produce organic fertilizer I use later in the crops.
Coffee Processing Information
Looking for producing a good quality parchment, I dont pick green or yellow bean, I only pick the red ones. Depulping is always done the same day of the picking, fermentation takes place the night after depulping and next day coffee is washed with clean and fresh water. All the drying process is done in parabolic driers that allow us to dry the coffee homogeneously.
