History
I was born in June 1961; when I was 5 years old, all the family moved to a different municipality, looking for better living conditions, but after several years we moved back to this area. 21 years ago I bought the farm where I am living right now.
Environmental Care
I reforest permanently with native species in the borders of the water sources as a way to preserve them. I keep a free of crops area of 10-15 meters from the water sources. I don´t hunt in the farm or in the native forest close to us. I take special care of the natural resources.
Coffee Processing Information
I pick red and riped beans, I depulp without using water the same day. After 12-14 hours of fermentation, I wash using clean and fresh water, I use to make two washings. Then I use the patio and also the parabolic sun drier for the final steps of the wet milling process. I sell all my coffee through the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Huila (CADEFIHUILA).
