IN THE YEAR 1997 I DISCOVERED A NEW COFFEE VARIETY IN MY FARM "LA LÚCUMA", I DIDN'T GAVE IT TOO MUCH ATTENTION AT FIRST BECAUSE AT FIRST SIGHT IT SEEMED TO BE A COMMON COFFEE PLANT . IN THE YEAR 2011 MY WHOLE PLANTATION WAS ATTACKED BY A DISEASE COMMONLY CALLED "OJO DE POLLO" AND ONLY THESE NEW VARIETY SURVIVED, INDEED IT WAS RESISTENT TO THE DISEASE. THAT'S WHEN I STARTED TO ONLY GROW THAT VARIETY THAT WE NAMED "MARSHELL". THE CURIOUS THING ABOUT ALL OF THIS IS, THAT I DIDN'T NOTICE THE BIG OPPORTUNITY THAT I WAS LETTING GO WHICH WAS PARTICIPATING IN THE CUP OF EXCELLENCE COMPETITION.
