La Marcela Farm is located in Brujil community, Macuelizo Municipality from Nueva Segovia Department. This farm is located at an average altitude of 1150 m o s l, with rainfall of 1550 mm of rain per year; the soil is clayey, the temperatures range between18° to 28° Celsius.
Tell us the story of your Farm:
The farm was purchased it for 8 years ago and is an extension of 50 blocks which 40 blocks with coffee production and the other 10 blocks are forest or mountain. Currently produces 600 quintals and the variety are Pacamara, Caturra, Yellow Catuai and Bourbón. Also produce citrus fruit.

This family consists of the following members: I am the family head with my wife and my 3 daughters.
What is your secret for winning the competition?
The secret is the effort that we make to improve the quality of our coffee, making good practices in the production, cutting and milling wet, this the producer can do. Then the microclimate we have is a blessing from God, and the effort made by the dry Mill Buenos Aires for processing the coffee to maintain quality, so its a string of efforts that if you break one link is lost effort and quality of coffee.
How do you feel to be a winner?
Im happy and proud to win this competition, also I am grateful to God and all employees aware of my farm as the dry mill Buenos Aires and the associations, organizations of one form or another put their efforts for this competition will be held and so make known my coffee farm.
What do you think of the Cup of Excellence?
Which is an event that comes to benefit the coffee industry as it allows knowing and evaluating the coffee quality, also encourages the producers to worry every day more to improve the quality of coffee and prepare each year for this competition and make Nicaragua is recognized as a country that produces high quality coffee.
