About the
Farm:
The Fernandez Farm, located in El Cielito, Sta. Barbara, Sta. Barbara, were the main product grown is coffee. This is a coffee growing zone with a range of temperature between 12 and 21°C (which is cool for our country), and rainfall of 1,200 to 2,400mm/year. It is considered a zone for Special coffees. It is next to the National Park of Santa Barbara Mountain, PANAMOSAB. This region has been widely known for their participation in the Cup of Excellence event every year. This year 16 of the 25 lots that made it to the auction come from this particular zone. This farm performs different coffee growing management activities such as: weed, pest & shade control, fertilizing, selective and sanitary trimming, manual harvesting and wet milling and drying. About his Family:
Cesar begins growing coffee besides his father, starting with 0.7 Hectares, and with a lot of effort he now grows 3.5 Hectares. His family now consists of 8 members, his wife, his 6 kids and himself.
