Qima works directly with Yemeni growers and works directly with smallholder farmers across central and northern Yemen, creating equitable trade in cultivating and hand harvesting specialty coffee sourced from some of Yemen’s highest altitudes. Founded in 2016 by Faris Sheibani, Qima Coffee’s core purpose is to rebuild Yemen’s specialty coffee industry. Qima has pledged to donate 10% of its annual profits to education and agricultural projects through their Qima Foundation. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 Qima Private Collection Auction will have invited jurists, in what we have coined as Global Coffee Center’s, around the world. These leading coffee buyers and experts in sensory analysis will use our new protocols to ensure we have a consistent competition using our cupping form in a safe and sanitary setting. 

By pinpointing exceptional producers with the Private Collection program, ACE will curate auctions with organizations and farmers who best exemplify ACE’s standards with its Cup of Excellence programming and hopes to expand its reach with these curated auctions.
