Overview:
I am Jose Herminzul Ninco Lara, son of coffee farmers. I was born on February 5th of 1969 in the municipality of Hobo in the department of Huila, where my first years of study were done in the school of the village El Batan, region where my parents untiringly work to make the land produce its fruits and give the necessary thing to their children: a man and five women. From the age of 7 to 10 years we already participated in the tasks as selection of coffee grains in the beneficio, livestock and riding the mules.
Then I was enrolled in a school of the municipality to finish my elementary studies and start secondary school. I told my father I wanted to finish school in the national school Santa Librada recognized by its academic level and in 1987 I received the bachelors diploma.
On 1987 I decided to move to the city of Bogota to work and possibly to study. I first worked in an ornamentation workshop and on weekends I worked in a parking. With the help of a friend from Huila, I entered to work in the Revolving Fund of the Justice Ministry as a messenger and where I then was ascended to account liquidator; being there I began to study laws in the Universidad Autonoma de Colombia . While my father was working the land and dedicated to commercial labors, he continued with the coffee leadership that led him to be communal president of the coffee guild of the municipal council and candidate to the mayoralty in 1990. In that time, unfortunately the violence of common delinquency turned off his life; they took a father away from the family and a great leader from the municipality, an exemplary man who was very committed on collaborating with the most humble people of the municipality.
As soon as my father died, I had to restate my activities and get back to the land that saw me born to take my fathers activities, helping my mother Cecilia in the labors in order to bring up my family that was composed mostly by underage people. Now the farm has the verification seal of 4C.I met Luz Angela Tamayo Tovar, a lovely and homeloving woman, with whom I built a familiar life and as a result of our love we had 3 sons, Jose Daniel who is 19 years old, Jefferson David who is 17 and Diego Alejandro who is 3 years old.
I have occupied a place in the Municipal Coffee Growers Committee, municipal council, and associative group of coffee farmers. I have been president in Community Action Councils, candidate to the mayoralty and student of Sena in the programs of rural young people where we have been favored with a project of the enterprising fund.
With the company of the Coffee Growers Departmental Committee, Coffee Growers Cooperative of Huila, Mayoralty of Hobo, Quality Coffee Growers Associative Group, National Service of Learning (SENA), community and family, we have been able to leader the high quality coffee production for the development and welfare of our family, community, municipality and region. That is the reason why we had the opportunity of gaining the fifth place of the best Colombia n coffees in the Cup of Excellence. I hope that, if God allow us, we could obtain a commercially favorable and recognized coffee on the most exquisite and demanding palates of the world.
