Doña Ileana is a 5 ha property located in Zarcero of Alajuela.
This farm is a family legacy, which has been batter by a harsh climate of strong winds and low temperatures, however it been a great cradle for the development of some great coffee.
Nowadays its owners Mrs. Ileana Rojas and Mr. Felipe Rodríguez Rojas, supervise the farm Doña Ileana. Their main goal is to grow certified organic high altitude coffee with an excellent quality. They receive a lot of help from their kids: Daniela, Issac, Josue, Sebastian and Sofia.
This property has been in the family for a long time and you can still find some plants of “Criollo” over 60 years old, planted by their great grandfather Mr. Honorio. The new coffee practices began with the grandfather “Felo” about 20 years ago. The milling and preparation of the coffee is done at the Helsar de Zarcero mill owned by the Rodriguez Villalobos brothers and Mr. Ricardo Pérez.
