Gonzalo has been coffee grower all his life preserving the tradition of his family. He decided to move out from his region, Antioquia, due to the social conflict and settled down in Planadas, Tolima in order to start from scratch a better quality of life continuing with the coffee production. Today he has 3 children and wants to inculcate love for coffee so they can continue with this heritage.
He had previously participated in local competitions in his region being in the best places, so he felt motivated with the results and participated in Cup of Excellence being supported by the professional cupper in charge of providing him technical support to his farm. For Gonzalo, Cup of Excellence is a window from coffee growers who make a great effort for delivering great quality to the world. For Gonzalo, being part of the first 29 places and being able to share with people from different parts of the world is a great gain.
