Farm: Santa Ana
Farmer: Azúcar y Café, S. A.
In the village of Pueblo Nuevo Viñas, Department of Santa Rosa, Guatemala , between the Tecuamburro and Pacaya volcanoes is located, mountain of La Gavia, where the coffee farms Santa Ana, Idolia, Cielito and Amatillo are situated.
The national and international recognition and success of the brand “Finca Santa Ana” is the result of the 30 years of hard work of his founder Roberto Díaz Marroquín, a passionate of quality and coffee lover. During these years he managed, prepared, planted, harvested and processed each one of the yearly crops of the farms, giving its best to satisfy the international markets.
Planting coffee varieties such as Bourbón, Catuaí, Caturra and Pache, together with the shade trees of Gravilea, Cuje, Pine, Cypress, Mundani, Oak tree and Chalum, which are naturally grown in the area, gives an excellent result of taste and aroma unique in each cup. The combination of these elements plus the quantity of rain, the soil type and mainly the altitude of the plantation, makes a strictly hard bean and special coffee.
The strict supervision during the hasvesting season has become a very important issue, as the coffee grain must be perfectly ripe. The depulping and drying in the sun during the wet milling are also highly managed to maintain the quality of each coffee grain.
We are highly proud that each year we have improved the quality and have been internationally recognized to what today is our registered brand. We have participated in the Cup of Excellence and have been among the finalist during several years, which helped us establish commercial relations with Asia, Australia, Europe and USA. We are satisfied to share with them and you the success that our coffee has been considered one of Guatemala ’s best coffees.
We are looking forward to long lasting and strong relations with our clients. Our commitment is to guarantee the quality of each coffee grain and to continue innovating the process of pre and post-harvest with the only purpose to satisfy the taste of whoever drinks a cup of Santa Ana’s coffees.
