Overview
Fazenda Sao Francisco da Bela Vista is located at a distance of 7 km from the Municipality of Carmo de Minas. It was acquired from Jose Antenor Andrade in mid-1993. At that time coffee terraces, driers and processing equipment were built. The protection of water sources and creeks of the property demonstrate the producers concern with environmental preservation.
Coffee processing system
Coffee is harvested manually, and the beans are strip picked on cloth, to preserve their quality characteristics. On that same day, the picked beans are washed, pulped and spread on the terrace to dry. The last step is to process them, and then deposit the coffee in the cooperative to be traded. Concern with quality The nursery trees are certified and healthy, and were planted after soil analysis following the contour lines for better environmental preservation. In all phases, agronomists instructions and guidance were followed. The beans are washed with good quality water, and the drying process begins on the concrete terraces and is completed with the use of a rotary drier.
