Overview
Located at the Municipality of Araponga, State of Minas Gerais, quite close to the urban zone (approximately 50 meters), the Sitio da Cachoeira received its name because the waters from a beautiful waterfall cross its land. In the areas where coffee is planted, at altitudes above 900 meters, the average temperature is 18ºC, with 1,200mm of annual rainfalls.
Coffee processing system
Harvesting begins in May, and the beans are picked manually on cloth. After the beans are washed, the coffee is transferred to the pulper. One the beans have been pulped, they are carried to the suspended terrace to dry.
