Javier Ceron Rubiano was born in the state of Cauca, 44 years ago. When he was 19 and looking for a job, he got to the south of Huila, where 25 years ago is being dedicated to the coffee production. There he established his family with his wife Maria de Jesus Imbachi and he has 5 children. His coffee farm has 30,500 square meters in coffee of 4.5 years in average age and all of them are caturra variety. He has counted with the fortune of being part of the auction winners in two occasions of the Cup of Excellence Competition. His coffee farm is run by his whole family in plenitude. He is an active member of the group “El Caney” and his farm is handling according to the care of the environment and the healthy living with the nature, as for all the Good Agriculture Practices are complete. He has planted some species of trees like Eucalyptus, Arrayanes and Guamos inside the coffee plantations; those are good for shading and to provide nitrogen to the soil. There are also some fruit trees planted. As an small farmer, the infrastructure for coffee is a basic one, he has a pulping machine and a tank for fermentation, of course taking good care of the activities at the farm such us the cleaning of equipment, and the risk and safekeeping in some steps of the process. For the washing of the coffee process they use good quality water, and then they do a special treatment so they can come back again to the nature. Javier Ceron is also a remarkable farmer that is an exemplary producer for the neighbors, and also at his farm they run a really organize and clean space that can be recognized in the region.
