Overview
La LOMA is situated in Llano Bonito of Leon Cortes, at 1900 meter above sea level and its coffee variety is 100% CATURRA. This coffee is 7 years old and belongs to a coffee grower family by tradition. They are the ones in charge of the whole process all year long. Some characteristics of the farm: for shadow they use poro and guineo trees and they plant avocado as an alternate product. All the farm care is manual and there is no use of insecticides or nematicidas to protect the environment and the workers health. Harvest is between January and February, months were the fruit is fully ripe, picked and milled on the same day. Only fully mature fruit is picked and then dried on african beds or parijuelas. The coffee from La Loma farm is a high quality coffee because of all the care and strict control from the plantation, all thru the milling process and also because of the effort and dedication of the whole family.
