Alma Pineda is a hardworking lady, and with the help of her husband, who motivated her to plant parainema in the farm, she has focused on specialty coffees. Later on she planted Pacas, which was the variety she used to participate in the COE competition. Her coffee farm is named “Finca La Sierra” located in El Cedral, Santa Barbara, with an altitude of 1450 masl. She focuses in having a good agronomic management combined with excellent climate conditions have been a key factor for her success. Her coffee pickers collect only red cherry, and she uses a dome type solar drier.
Her goal is to maintain the profile of their coffee, with high quality and to improve each year, so she can give the legacy of specialty coffee growing to her family.
