Farm History
Fazenda Santa Mariana is one of the properties that are a part of a family society, between mother and four sons, where high quality coffee is produced, awarded in many contests. With the aggregation of lands, the lands for growing coffee were expanded and used a common area for processing the grains, decreasing the water and energy consumption, preserving the natural resources and making the process more sustainable.
Fazenda Santa Mariana, like the other farms is managed by one of its partners, Marcio Heleno de Carvalho Junqueira, always guided by the matriarch experience and also counts with the technical assistance of agronomists of the Foundation Procafe, Emater and Cocarive.
The certified seedlings were planted along contour lines in the preservation of the soil. The property also has horse breeding of Mangalarga Marchador.
The farm has twenty employees duly registered, a number that is growing at harvest time. The property borders on the city streets, where employees have their own homes, receive medical care, enjoy leisure area and have access to public education. All of them use the personal protective equipment when necessary.

As philosophy, the proprieties value the socio-environmental responsibility and personal dedication on the search for the production with excellence. As result, the coffees have already been exported to several countries, conquering as well several prizes.
