Farm History
The farmer from Esmeril farm is an italian immigrant that arrived in Brazil in 1952, when he was only 19 years old. Since then, he has been working in coffee plantations throughout São Paulo and Paraná state until he finally arrived in Patrocínio city, Minas Gerais, in 1984.
In 1985 Mr. Pornaro planted his first 5ha of coffee, being one of the first coffee farmers in that region. Today his farm has over 140 ha of coffee with varieties as Catuaí, Acaiá and Mundo Novo.
Processing System
The processing in the farm in made 100% Natural, mechanically harvested, and sun-dried at patio and mechanical dryer.
Quality Facts
During the whole year, the farm is followed by an agronomic engineer to guarantee balanced nutrition to the plant, avoiding any disease and keeping the health and quality of the plants.
The coffee is harvested only when it reaches highest percent of ripe cherries, doing mechanical picking two times with smallest vibration possible in order to pick only good coffee.
